COMPANY HISTORY
Kostyshyn Precision Barrels is a small custom shop offering premium match-grade rifle barrel blanks that are individually crafted and carefully hand-lapped to a fine finish. We are not merely a mass manufacturer of 'aftermarket' barrels, but an actual custom shop producing each barrel individually, with the care taken in every aspect of production that characterizes true craftsmanship.
We use the best materials available - 416R stainless steel specially ordered to our specifications and made by a specialty steel mill here in the U.S. (and stress relieved multiple times by the mill and during production), high-quality machines - including a sine bar equipped rifling machine which precisely controls rifling twist rate, first-rate tooling produced by craftsmen like ourselves, and time-proven protocols, but most importantly, we pay meticulous attention to every detail of production on every barrel we produce. Additionally, we strive to treat each & every one of our customers with the respect and courtesy you deserve. We are truly "Dedicated to Quality".
After only a few seasons of availability since our inception in 2002, Kostyshyn barrels have demonstrated an astonshingly high level of performance in the world of competitive shooting, especially in sanctioned benchrest competition, a discipline where the highest level of performance and precision is demanded of rifle barrels. (In fact, approximately 80% to 90% of Kostyshyn barrels are sold for use in competitive shooting, primarily in short and long range benchrest formats.) In only a few short years it has become apparent that the startling initial level of performance and success of Kostyshyn barrels in competitive shooting is here to stay. (see Competition News & Updates) At Kostyshyn Precision Barrels, we incorporate the same level of hand-crafted quality into every barrel we make, whether it be a sporter weight barrel for a hunting rifle, a stiffer contour barrel for a varminting rig, or a heavy LV/HV barrel for a full-blown comeptition rifle.
